The medical treatments seemed to be working and life was happy again, skipping along in the Key of C, until the final note A. The cancer is back. I wrote this piece while looking out my window with the long icicles beginning to drip and the feeling was of spring. It has a very slow start to match the tentative drips of the icicles. The LH has simple five-finger 8th note pattern. The RH begins with a high register of dripping icy drops. The middle section moves down to the middle register, then the last section is again up high until the very low, dramatic A.
